It’s 26 days to the blessed month of Ramadan.
While Ramadan is widely known as the Month of the Qur’an, the righteous predecessors used to devote themselves to its recitation during Shaʿbān,
saying, ‘The month of Shaʿbān is the month of the reciters.’
Narrated Ibn ʿAbbās:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the most generous of people, and he was even more generous in Ramadan when Jibrīl (عليه السلام) met him.
Jibrīl used to meet him every night in Ramadan and review the Qur’an with him.”

In the final year of the Prophet ﷺ’s life:
“Jibrīl reviewed the Qur’an with the Prophet ﷺ twice in Ramadan.”
Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith no. 4998
Action for today:
To prepare for Ramadan, set your Qur’an target today and remain consistent with it.
- 1 Juz daily → Read 4–6 pages after each salah to complete the Qur’an once in Ramadan.
- 2 Juz daily → Read 8–12 pages after each salah to complete the Qur’an twice in Ramadan.
