WE NEED YOUR HELP TO HELP OTHERS, DONATE TO OUR CAMPAIGNS
Through the ‘Gift of Sight’ project at Sakinah Medical Outreach, we have reduced the economic (health) burden of over 1,500 families living in underserved communities by distributing 1,032 eyeglasses, 1,520 eye medication, and carrying out 373 eye surgeries (cataract, pterygium, and eye cyst) in 13 different communities in Kwara, Ogun, Oyo, Kaduna, and Lagos state.
The community medical outreaches have provided 3,097 inhabitants of 23 underserved communities in the states of Lagos, Kwara, Ogun, and Oyo with free medical examinations and procedures since they began (eye surgeries and general surgeries like lipoma, hernia, and appendicitis excisions).
The individual intervention project, have benefited 72 people from different parts of Nigeria, which includes procedures for the heart, the brain, and the spine as well as cancer treatment and support.
In order to help Nigerians in need of affordable, high-quality healthcare, Sakinah Medical Outreach was founded in 2009. Regardless of their ethnicity or religious affiliation, 2,808 women and children have received medical help and awareness thanks to Sakinah's commitment to ensuring that healthcare is accessible and cheap for all Nigerians. Through the Sakinah Medical Centre, Sakinah would be able to touch more lives.
