Sakinah Medical Outreach (SMO) is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring the specialized medical treatment of ABDULMALIK KHADIJAT HASSANA, 14 years old, who will be undergoing treatment for a brain tumour at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, India.

For Hassana and her family, this journey represents more than a medical procedure- it is a fight for her life and a test of faith in the goodness of a community willing to stand with its own in the darkest of moments.

A brain tumour diagnosis is frightening enough on its own. The added burden of finding and funding specialized treatment far from home can be overwhelming for any family to bear alone. No one should have to face that burden in silence and no one should have to face it alone.

This intervention forms part of SMO’s ongoing commitment to providing life-saving medical support to individuals facing critical health challenges within our community. Hassana’s treatment will be funded entirely through the donations and Zakat generously given by people like you- ordinary acts of compassion that, together, are making possible her chance at a full and healthy life.

As Hassana prepares to undergo this critical procedure, we ask that you hold her in your prayers. May Allah grant her a successful surgery, ease her pain and return her home in full health and strength, Insha Allah.

But even as we rejoice in what your generosity is making possible for Hassana, our hearts remain heavy for those still waiting. Behind every case we are able to fund, there are many more applicants in the queue- mothers, fathers and children whose survival depends entirely on whether help arrives in time. Every single one of them is someone’s whole world. Every single one of them is waiting on a donation that hasn’t come yet.

We cannot do this alone and we should not have to. Your Zakat, your Sadaqah, your smallest contribution- these are not simply donations; they are lifelines. They are the difference between a family that gets to keep their loved one and a family left with only prayers and regret.
