The Prophet ﷺ encouraged simple, nourishing foods that are gentle on the body. Dates, water, and milk provide quick energy, hydration, and essential nutrients—making them ideal for breaking the fast.
Hadith
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates; if he does not find dates, then with water.”

Action for Today
Include dates and water in your ifṭār plan and aim for simplicity and balance.
