Quran 2 Al- Bakarah Verse261 reveals:
“The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: It grows seven ears and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases and Allah cares for all and He knows all things.”
It’s been 9 years since Sakinah Medical Outreach has operated as a project under the Muslim Public Affairs Center (MPAC) giving the best health care and medical funds as a form of assistance to the needy regardless their religion affiliation or ethnic background. Currently, we run as a registered individual organization.
Over the years, we have benefited 548 individuals with treatment support on different medical cases; eye problems, spinal cord injuries, kidney problems etc. And we have spent about N 69,000,000 collected through general donations from individuals (not any form of government or organization support).
Our concern is the alarming rate of people seeking financial support for medical interventions. This is influence by the increased level of poverty in Nigeria, the decline in economic growth, and majorly the poor state of health infrastructure in the country (making people seek medical treatment abroad).
Sakinah Medical Outreach has a vision to give hope, love and peace to the service of humanity.

Free Eye Screening and Surgery:
All these are achieved through your continuous donations and we solicit for your continuous support.
This year, we hope to give hope of sight to at least 200 people that are blind or have impaired eye defects. Our first stop is Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, we already identified about 21 individuals with impaired blindness due to cataract and we would be carrying out a 3 day eye screening and surgery from 27th – 29th of June, 2018 in the Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta. We would also be giving out glasses, eye drops, drugs etc. to necessary beneficiaries.
It would cost a sum of N 25, 000 to operate on an eye with impaired blindness. A total of N 7, 200,000 is needed to execute this years project.
Remember, when you return their eye sights, they are able to return to their work life, thereby giving them hope for education and a chance to alleviate poverty.
