A RAMADAN LIKE NO OTHER
We understand that these are trying times, due to the incessant spread of the COVID-19 virus. The pandemic has resulted in the downfall of the economy and most especially the healthcare sector; thrown people into turmoil and caused chaos in several cities. With over 2,000,000 infected people globally and 190,000 deaths and spreading across 185 countries, we pray Allah have mercy upon the world and its inhabitants.
Alhamdullilah, Allah (SWT) has blessed us to witness and reach another Ramadan. The Prophet (PBUH) has called this month – a blessed month (شهر مبارك) and a great month (عظيمهر).
“Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur’an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if anyone is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.” [Qur’an 2:185]
We are very excited to welcome you to this year’s holy month of Ramadan!
This is the month to rejuvenate our souls, strengthen our faiths, intensify our good deeds, curtail our bad habits, rally around our families, solidify our community and most especially show mercy to the less privileged. Thus, Sakinah encourages you to consider donating to its projects, which focus on providing free healthcare services to the less privileged.
It is a great way to earn Allah’s blessings in manifolds.
